Steak and Seafood Feast at the Brand New Palm in Beverly Hills

Prime Double Cut New York Strip 36 ounce
When Pio Bozzi and John Ganzi arrived in the U.S. in the 1920's and opened their restaurant, they probably never imaged it blossoming into over 25 locations across the U.S. and Mexico.
Now the Palm is a well established steak restaurant frequented by celebrities and dignitaries. I was lucky enough to be invited to a media tasting by Diana Daniele Communications to experience the brand-new location in Beverly Hills.

On a Tuesday night, the restaurant was completely packed and the bar was nearly overflowing. The open layout provided a full view of the restaurant and I could immediately feel the energy in the room. There was also a familiar connection to restaurant that I didn't expect to feel, given it was my first visit. I can only attribute that to the warm decor and attentive service.

The Palm treated us to a scrumptious feast of seafood, steak, creamed spinach, famous half and half (fries and fried onions) and a decadent layered chocolate cake. Highlight of the evening for me was the seafood platter complete with oysters, sweet lump crabmeat and jumbo shrimp. The 36 ounce New York prime steak was tender and juicy with a beautiful crust. It's no surprise to find that the restaurant's philosophy is to "treat guests like family, serve great food, and always exceed expectations."

The Palm makes for a great place to celebrate special occasions with friends and family or to enjoy a few cocktails at the bar after work.

Fun fact: Pio Bozzi and John Ganzi wanted to call their restaurant Parma, but people mistakenly thought the restaurant's name was “Palm" because of their heavy Italian accent and the name stuck.
