Urth Caffe, West Hollywood

Since I was introduced to Urth Caffe a few years ago, it has become one of my favorite places to go for a nice relaxing evening. This time we checked out the location on Melrose.

Honey Vanilla Latte

The perfect blend of vanilla and honey topped with just the right amount of foam. This drink is very smooth and addicting.

Caffe Mocha

Not too sweet, and not too strong, this drink has a wonderful balance.

Full Cesar Salad with Chicken

The chicken was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of seasoning. The lettuce was very fresh and tossed with a nice amount of dressing. The dressing was slightly too tangy for my taste, but it gave the salad a very light taste. The crisps and shaved Parmesan cheese added a wonderful flavor to the salad. My only complaint about the salad is the lettuce could have been cut into smaller pieces.

Overall, the drinks at Urth Caffe will not disappoint and there are many dishes to choose from should you want more than just a drink along with some very eye catching desserts. There is plenty of outdoor seating at this location and more of a relaxing atmosphere than the one on Beverly. The next time you're in the mood for a good drink, give this place a try.

Hi Big Ghost,

I was at the Barker lofts this weekend and wish I had time to run into the Urth Caffe for a drink. I'm glad you enjoyed the honey vanilla latte as well.

Hi Brad, I would recommend the RH restaurant inside the Hyatt Hotel. http://www.hyatt.com/gallery/rhlaxss2009/index.html There is a bar area and also a nice sit down dining area. Strong cocktails and tasty food.

Things to order: hudson valley foie gras terrine, seared diver scallops, hudson valley duck confit
