We were invited to attend the UCLA vs. Memphis game over the weekend and were treated to great food, good company, and a comfortable place to relax along with several large screen TVs playing college football games.
On the left - "Time Out" made with gin, orange juice, mango syrup and mint. My favorite on the menu.
On the right - "Memphis Punch" made with rum, southern comfort, blue curaƧao, pineapple juice and soda water.
The menu changes depending on the team UCLA or USC is playing. Season ticket holders don't have to worry about eating the same food every time. Although, I could never get sick of the prime rib and potato chips.
For this game, UCLA was playing Memphis, so the menu had a southern theme with items like fried chicken, collard greens, gumbo and pecan pie.
Of course, no Lawry's event can be complete without their world famous prime rib. Each slice was carved to order and tasted just as good as what's served at the restaurant. If this can't entice you to check out the tailgate, I don't know what will.
Meet the awesome Lawry's catering team Kevin, Melissa, Tony and Miranda.
Note: parking in the golf course lot is $25. Be sure to remember where you parked.
