MB Post, Manhattan Beach

Manhattan Beach Post is famous for its bacon cheddar buttermilk biscuits, and for good reason. Each order comes with two biscuits and a delicious maple butter. They are quite filling, so be careful.

Cheese and Cured Meats
10-12 each

The platter came with toasted bread, nuts, dried fruit, and a variety of honey.

Mo-Pho-Jito

This version of the mojito was very refreshing and not at all sweet. Really couldn't taste the coriander honey.

White Oak Grilled Shishito Peppers

The grilled peppers were topped with a mountain of bonito flakes. We all thought it was overkill.

Hen of the Wood Mushrooms

The polenta was very cream and went well with the mushrooms.

Pomegranante Cous Cous

This was everyone's least favorite dish. The flavors and textures just didn't work well together.

Vietnamese Caramel Pork Jowl
13
This was the best dish. The pork was melt in your mouth tender and the papaya salad balanced the richness of the meat.

Our meal at MB Post was solid. If we hadn't ordered the cous cous and peppers, it would have been great. We would definitely get the biscuits and pork jowl again and try more of the cheeses and cured meats.
