Maggie Jones's, Kensington - London

On a recent business trip to London, I had the opportunity to visit Maggie Jones's, a quaint and charming restaurant situated in a quiet cul-de-sac that's a favorite spot among locals. The casual farm house style decor added a warmth to the restaurant and offered an escape from a hectic day.

The three course lunch special for £21.75 offered multiple choices for each course.

Duck liver pate
The pate was served with toast and salad. Quite a large serving for being an appetizer and certainly could have been shared by two people. However, I happily devoured the entire plate.

 Roast lamb
This was the epitome of a plate of meat and potatoes. The lamb was tender and well seasoned and the potatoes were crispy on the outside and perfect on the inside. A mint sauce was served with the dish, but it certainly didn't need it.

Butter bread pudding
This was a generous serving of deliciously warm and gooey pudding. Perfect with a cup of coffee or tea.

Tip: Kensington Palace is walking distance from Maggie Jones's and makes for a nice post meal stroll.
